Fire Risk Assessments
All business premises in England and Wales are required to undergo a fire risk assessment and have a fire management plan in place. We can help by assessing your premises for risk and recommending the best plan for you, making sure it complies with all the relevant regulations.
-
Fire Extinguishers and Fire Safety Signage
Our trained engineers will supply, install and maintain your portable fire extinguishers in compliance with BS 5306. We offer a full range of extinguishers to tackle all types of fire, including water, foam, powder, carbon dioxide and wet chemical extinguishers. Our engineers will also supply and install your fire safety signage, in compliance with BS 5499.
-
Aspirating Systems
An aspirating system is essentially an early warning system – sensitive enough to detect fire before there are any visible signs of it. These systems are typically used in premises where any shutdowns due to fire would be commercially problematic. We offer a full range of systems, which our engineers will install and maintain for you.
-
Automatic Opening Vents
AOVs automatically extract smoke if there’s a fire and can be integrated into any business premises.
-
Emergency Lighting Systems
Emergency lighting is a key element of any fire protection system. In the event of losing power, it’s vital to have back-up lighting that will guide people to fire exits. We will design, install and maintain your emergency lighting system in compliance with BS 5266.
-
Disabled Refuge Points
Disabled refuge points are areas in a building where less able people can wait in relative safety before being evacuated during a fire. These refuge points are linked to building management and the emergency services via a voice communication system. We will work with you to identify your needs, then design, fit and maintain your disabled refuge system.

Fire Alarm Servicing
For businesses, the British Standards Institution standard BS 5839 recommends that your fire alarm system is inspected every six months, and the government supports this. For larger buildings with more complex systems, we recommend quarterly inspections to make sure your system is kept in working order at all times. We also offer weekly testing on your system’s manual call points, as recommended by BS 5839.
